So, The Met Gala was last week, and I don’t know what to think. I loved the theme this year of punk rock, because it’s such a hard edge theme with the elegance of the gowns there was a beautiful balance. I think my favorite dresses were Michelle Williams, Jennifer Lawrence, and Blake Lively. The three of them really stood out to me.
There were definitely elements of other dresses that I loved. The back of Dakota Fanning’s dress was stunning, and a great motif of wings. The details on Beyonce’s dress were phenomenal. The red and yellow Baroque print looks amazing and pops a lot against the black of the rest of the dress.
Of course there were a few misses on the red carpet. My big one was Kristen Stewart. That jumpsuit was just not my taste to a punk themed event, and I didn’t think it was very flattering.
Check out the red carpet here.
Outfit of the day, transition weather edition.
What I’m wearing: Black polka dot skirt with lace trim from Forever 21, An orange striped tank top and coral and white chiffon shirt, both from Garage, My favorite two lips warrior boots, and a spike necklace under my collar from Forever 21.
Trying my hand at nail art! It went okay, but I definitely need some practice. I used covergirl’s outlast stay brilliant nail polish (which I adore. I’ll do a review soon!) in the color forever faun, which is a beautiful nude color. And nude nails are in this summer! For the chevron pattern, I used Brash nail polish with a fine brush in both black and white. Not the best nail polish, but it does the job. Also I’m not very good at the detail work, but practice makes perfect! Anyway, I just thought I’d share my nail art with you!
I recently purchased a Maybelline 24-hr Color Tattoo cream Eyeshadow, and I thought would do a little review for you!
